Rooms go quieter when soft pink is this sure of itself. The whole of Rome is laid out in one cheerful illustration — the Colosseum, St Peter's, a Vespa, pizza, pasta, wine and a ginger cat — held together by the Tiber winding down the middle.

Put it up and the wall stops being background. The room feels warmer, a bit playful, and easy to live with.
